For the Pu-Erh lovers recipe 7542 need no introduction.
 
Recepie 7542 from famous Menghai Tea Factory is considered one of the most stable products on tea market with yearly production from 1975 until this days. Teas from years before 2000 are becoming more rare and are therefore praised by collector. Their prices is constantly rising, sometimes shooting ridiculously high. 
My generous friends who sincerely love PuErh offered me a very good deal for this cakes so I’m happy to share it for more humane price.
 
This particular batch is named
7542 - 73’ cake.
 
7542 refers to traditional Menghai Tea Factory recipe and 73’ to a specification in this traditional recipe.
As you can see on the picture from the book “ChiTze Beeng Cha Dictonary 1940-1989” the picture shows 7542 -73’ cake from 1970s. My cake is 1998 reproduction of that particular recipe.
It was made by Menghai Tea Factory with CNNP ‘nei fei’ (inner ticket)
 
If you are to overwhelmed by all the tea nerd information you need to only know this tea is beautifully clean with sweet and very round taste of precious wood and dark sugar with molasses. Even the empty cup smells sweet after drinking it. It has very purifying, direct and clean energy.
After 26 years of almost exclusively Taiwanese dry storage this cakes turned into treasure.
Previous owner also made a laboratory test for the pesticide and there was 0.0 detection.
