Guangdong Cake or the “late GuangYun Tribute Cake", is the outcome of coorperation between Guangdong and Yunnan tea factories.
It’s composed from the leaves of both the areas, Guangdong and Yunnan. This mix offering a very unique blend of long lasting aromas, slightly medicinal, with feeling of mystery.
Cakes were pressed relatively tight with sharp edges which are typical for GuangYun cakes. After decades of aging, cakes loosen up and lost some of its weigh while edges still remain tight.
Character of tea is mellow, thick and smooth, leaving the throat sweet. Color of the soup has turned into deep red.
Original weight of cakes is 400g but after aging around 350-370grams.
*after unwrapping the tea cake there might be traces of a tea worm. Although this is very common and totally natural phenomena that proves that tea was grown without pesticides, some friends from the western countries are slightly more picky about this so I think it good to mention.
When I open such a cake I just lightly brush it with the soft clean painting brush to remove the dust, paper fibers or traces of tea worm as it’s very common in Taiwan. It doesn’t affect the quality of tea at all.
*limited offer since there is only 4 full cakes left.
