This is a very small, almost micro batch from a small organic farmers family in Miaoli County.
Their philosophy about gardening is “Do it the lazy way “
They planted their tea trees and let them become wild for a couple years. Later when they decided to start harvesting them, they never applied any fertilizers, or pesticides. They don't even weeding their field!! which makes it look a bit like a jungle. The tea plants need to compete with other wild plants for water, nutrition and sunlight. As a result there are strong semi wild plants with deep roots and unique character.
It was processed as GABA and was given long, almost full oxidation.
Aroma and effect of GABA acid is extremely vivid on this tea. Aroma is sweet/acidic with a long lasting aftertaste of cinnamon. Leaves can handle pretty hot water and slightly longer steeps due to its thickness.
*There are usually 2 to 3 harvests in a year and the amount is always small. Each different due to seasonal weather conditions.
Please if you order this tea more than once don't expect tea of exactly same taste profile.
