On my tea hunting trip in Northern Thailand I knew there might be some old trees up here but I never expected to find Yunnan like ancient tea gardens managed by second or third generation Yunnanese people who all speak Mandarin Chinese. I was very happy to meet many of them and make friends and even happier when I discovered that their tea is amazing. They mostly produce Puerh Mao Cha which as I learned is mostly sold to China where it is blended, pressed into cakes and sold around the world as original Chinese tea.
 
This white tea comes from an ancient tea garden with trees between 100-500 year old. Only the most fine buds were picked for this tea it's a very energy and time consuming process.. Trees grow widely in the spacious gardens. Never use any agrochemicals and only cut the branches once a year before winter.
 
Taste is full and sweet, very thick and oily. It can be also boiled and never gets bitter.
